After two years as a member of this forum I've now reached the dizzy heights of 20 posts, so I guess it's time ...

Hi.

For many years I was a member of the old Jpopmusic forum. That's where I used to make my Kajiura related posts. When JPM morphed into JPC I decided it made more sense to make this forum my base for Kajiura related fandom. I had already been reading this forum for about 18 months.

I'm a fan of Yuki by implication. It says 'I like Yuki' under my user name. I'm not sure if I'm entirely happy about claiming to like someone I've never met. If it said 'I admire Yuki' it would be spot on. I admire Yuki's vocal works, her vocal arrangements and her impeccable choice of vocalists. I rarely listen to any of the BGM stuff.

I am a fan of Chiaki, Saeko, Kaori, Keiko and Wakana and have a high regard for the other principal vocalists. The FictionJunction musicians are also a source of inspiration.

My fandom does not stretch back to the original incarnation of See-Saw. That is material I've become familiar with in retrospect. Rather it dates from the second See-Saw/Saeko Chiba era. FictionJunction/Kalafina have now taken the whole thing to another level. A joyous enterprise.

CPM is a small friendly forum, largely (but not entirely) free from abrasive personalities and boasts a quite a few members with expert knowledge. As forums go, this is almost as good as it gets.

Welcome! Nice intro, I hope you like it here. I am Lina. It is a small happy family here, at least I think so. I love see-saw and saeko as well, what are some favorite songs of yours? :shy:

Thankyou for the great introduction and please keep posting to this forum! Some of us are also chatting live at http://chat.canta-per-me.net/

My experience was compressed into 2011 and hopefully it will be possible to catch up with earlier material from See-Saw, FictionJunction and other Yuki Kajiura projects.

Welcometo CPM!
Thank you George. The first time I ever visited CPM one of the things I did sooner rather than later was to use the search function to look for the Chiaki Ishikawa thread. I was somewhat taken aback to find that at that time there wasn't really any discussion of Chiaki here. Since then Nick Hunter has gotten that sorted.

But I found it a little extrodinary that there could be a Yuki forum that did not include a lively discussion about Chiaki. Yuki and Chiaki. Two stars that formed in the same stellar nursery and who orbited one another as a binary system before eventually sucumming to other gravitational forces. At that time the forum was a little too narrow focus for my liking. Things have loosend up since then. This forum has grown while others have perished.

Oh my god. Wow. That's...wow...

There are lots of Chiaki-san fans here (-: She was a real stand-out performer at Animelo Summer Live 2011.

valeriana runa has even covered See-Saw's "Jumping Fish":

Talk about Chiaki Ishikawa's music as much as you like!
