Hey Allexiel!! How are you doing buddy? It's been awhile ^^ I'm just wondering something.

What program did you use for your remake of L.A.?
What kind of Keyboard?
Computer software?

I really feel like whatever you used is so much better than my MIDI, and I feel like I can become so much of a more noticed composer with your help ^^

Oh hi there Aya :)
It's been a while yes! I didn't saw this post till recently :p

I used mainly Fruity Loops with external soundbanks.
My soundscards has some issues with Cubase and Vista...

But I find myself using FruityLoops quiet enjoyable! :)

The Keyboard I use is an EMU-XBOARD ;) (from Creative)

I can only encourage you to look for good soundbanks!

Do you have a 25-, 49- or 61-key MIDI controller?
nb. 61-key is standard keyboard size (5 octaves)

Doesn't the use of a keyboard severely limit your ability to play with emotion?

IMHO keyboards usually have a much lower velocity sensitivity range than electronic piano's. I have a Roland E-28 keyboard that sounds very fake, even when connected to decent piano banks (like those in my piano).

I have aftertouch :) It does somehow help with the emotion you know.

And afterwards you can edit the sounds and volume... I think I can do a nice job :)

Even if you'll get it to sound just as good, it means more work. I am not a great fan of more work.
