Hello fellow Kajiurans! Happy autumnal equinox.
I thought it'd be an auspicious day to stop lurking about CPM.net and join the forum, what with Kalafina releasing After Eden and today being the first day of autumn.
The name's Guillermo, but you can just call me "Gwill" or "G" for short. I'm from Cuba but I live in Canada. I'm 23 years old and I study French and Italian at in university (being already fluent in Spanish & English).
According to Last FM, I have 4,446 YK plays as of today (plus 1284 Kalafina ones). This, of course, not counting the ~4,000 that I'd likely have if I had joined Last FM when I first started listening to YK (and then there's all the plays that never got scrobbled, lol). So yes, huge Kajiura fan just like all of you; she's definitely my favourite composer of all times, surpassing even Tchaikovsky whose Swan Lake j'adore.
It was actually my favourite manga/animé, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, what got me listening to YK, heh. I remember listening to A Song of Storm and Fire for the first time and being like "oh là là qu'est-ce que c'est???"
Anyways, I'm familiar with most animé YK has composed for (save for ones like Gundam Seed, whose plot just isn't appealing to me), including (but not limited to), TRC (which I already mentioned), PMMM, Pandora Hearts, Mai-Hime, etc.
Finally, while I pretty much like/love everything that she composes (c'mon, her music is basically flawless, or as close as a composer can get to flawless, in my not-humble opinion), some of my favourites are: Adore, Song of Ice and Fire, Bloody Rabbit, Blue Clouds, Broken Sword of Justice, E.G.O., Fiction, First Love, Gloria, Himitsu, Image Theme Of Xenosaga II, Inca Rose, Intermezzo, I Reach For The Sun, Kaze No Machi E, L.A., Lirica, Lotus, Magia, Mezame, Morning Moon, Once Upon A Time There Was You And Me, Opening Theme/Madobe Kara (Kyosuke No. 1), Red Moon, Sandpiper, Serenato, Ship Of Fools, Snow, Synchronicity, and Witch.
Enfin, now that I've told my so-I-heard-u-liek-YK tale I look forward to becoming acquainted with y'all and participate in the discussions and all that good stuff, hmmm.
*heads over to the After Eden thread*
