a question re: an old yuki kajiura song

hello there everyone! i'm new to this site but i've been a fan of yuki kajiura for many years now, having discovered her through the anime madoka magica and continuing on that appreciation for her music until today.

i'm posting here because i have a question about a relatively old song of ms. kajiura's! the song "everytime you kissed me" is an insert song for the anime pandora hearts which aired way back in 2009. i came to this site searching for information on the song. curiously, its page on this site has lyrics in japanese both kanji and romaji! this is surprising to me because as far as i know, "everytime you kissed me" is an exclusively english song. and so i'm posting this to ask - is there any recordings/instances of the song "everytime you kissed me" being sung in japanese rather than english? and if not, are the japanese lyrics on its page simply translated from the original english lyrics?

thank you in advance to anyone who answers! :shy:

Hi, welcome to the site!

hello there everyone! i'm new to this site but i've been a fan of yuki kajiura for many years now, having discovered her through the anime madoka magica and continuing on that appreciation for her music until today.
That’s also how I discovered her! It’s always great to find similar origin stories haha.

Also, about the English lyrics: I reiterate what Kowz said. I would also like to add that the same thing goes for other songs written in English, such as Forest and Key of the Twilight.

Yes we had decided to add japanese translation to some originally english songs in case there were japanese people visiting the site. But that doesnt mean there is japanese version of the song however some songs do have japanese version like the most recent "sea and a pearl / umi no shinju", "everlasting song", "lullaby", or canta per me that was originally in italian.

Also some of these English language songs have semi-official Japanese translations thanks to the Japanese subtitles on YK Live videos.

I also have a question about an old YK song: salva nos from Noir. Is it safe to assume that they used a filter for Yuriko Kaida's voice? It does not sound like her at all. Or maybe that's how she used to sound? Or she's singing in a register she normally doesn't?

I think she might've been adding more weight and more darkness to her voice to sound like that.

"melody is from " is a stretch, only the style is a bit similar.

I think i d be a good question for Kajiura since noir was partly taking place in France n some tracks did have french titles.
