Well, honestly, I wanted to talk about Higurashi and Umineko and so I went on a forum search and found nothing.

So I'll ask, who among you watches/watched Umineko/Higurashi/Higurashi Kai/Higurashi Rei?

I watched all of the Higurashi series and I have to say that as a whole they are among my favourite anime's. (I'm very into horror and psychological)

As of now I am up to date with Umineko as well and I have heard some people say that Umineko doesn't make enough sense for them but, honestly, I don't agree. In fact I'm scoring it a running 10/10.

So, thoughts? Opinions? Hugs?

I love the scenario of it :shy:
Though Oct. 04. is my birthdate :uh..:
But I don't really like the characters' ever-sparkling eyes(...) and hair colors(e. g. Jessica's is near lime-green)
 
I adore the unrealistic colours. That's just me.

The butterflies are probably my favourite part though. lol.
 
Haven't finished both Higurashi and Umineko :cry:

Higurashi was rather boring at first, because you "stucked on the repeat" :knife:
But it's actually more interesting than I thought, although I haven't had any time to continue watching :blood:
 
Haven't watched any of them yet, but I've listened to all the OPs. :XD: 7th Expansion works are EXTREMELY lucky with openings.
 
I received to OP's for ALL of them in the mail today, well, except for the live action movie.
 
Didn't bother to watch Higurashi at first because I thought it was some kinda killer-loli-guro-shit. After I found it wasn't, I read some of the manga to get a better understanding of what was going on.

Currently, I've been following the Umineko anime and manga. I think DEEN's provided a decent adaption, except that they are spending more time on the previews and DVD bonuses than animating. And I'm hoping Chiru will provide a logical explanation behind the murders aside from the fact that witches exist. I also found all the characters of Umineko quite interesting and well developed, except the Siestas and Sakutaro.

Currently waiting for Ookami Kakushi because of Ryukishi07's involvement with the project.

I like the twist and repetition lol~

Umineko certainly has spent a lot of time on character development. Quite the feat when you consider the sheer number of characters there are to develop. I'm so impressed with it.
 
i enjoy them all :sohappy: but i haven't finished rei i think....
the movie was :uh..: :uh..: :uh..: but i really liked the theme song :XD: its tied with the kai OP as my favorite

you could just watch episode 2 till 4 for the real serious story :XD:
episode 1 and 5 were just bunch of jokes :blood:
 
Haven't read the novels.
Higurashi (animu) was fairly involving.
Umineko (animu) is uninvolving and downright stupid IMHO.

All stated one day that I was searching for another anime opening song.

I hear the song , then I saw the opening and than saw the anime. At that time the was just 1 season

I watch Kai at the release time . Except for one that was at last retake exams. I remeber having 2. I did the first go home ate. Watch higurashi and then go study for next day exam.

Rei the same. Well I have aproblem withearphones that were to short so I ended watchind DVD 4 with the screen at the floor and I sitting here too. (abou 2 of the morning I think)

Umineko, really I had read the introduction chapter of the manga before the anime so I knew a bit about the story. and then I followed the anime every day. However I saw thing that I do not really undestood on the anime for example Battler in the end of the Episode 2. Or the fact that

Battler remind about Ange at 3rd episode or that kyrie was not his birthmother. At the novel it is explained at the introduction

So 1 episode before ending episode 3 I dropped anime I played the first 4 Episodes of the novel. After that I watched again the anime (I just missed 1 episode really. so on episode 20 onwards I watched first Raws and then the subbed episodes.

Yeah Anime was quite interesting but they did some things wrong. for example episode 24 were very bad adapted into the anime. I will just say this: on the novel there appear:
2 Beatrices talking each other on one moment on the Battler test part
And they did not used some truth for example in the last riddles of episode 3 and 4 .
Making for example the riddle of episode 4 really easy on the anime version.
Episode 26 were too fast. Even the fan made Tea pary were better than the anime (and linger).

And also moichi have already read the episode 5 in English it is :XD: :nosebleed: :fwa: :omg: :cry: and more.

they released the english patch a few days after the end of the anime :shy:

Currently wanthing ookami kakushi, waiting for ep 6 translation and reading higurashi SN in English.

I think I adore this guys works after reading the SNs.
