If you're wondering, you might guess it right.. I ain't young to sum it up I think've watch more than 200 titles of anime or more. :XD:
Back in those days I could even rent Mazinger Z, Lum Urusei Yatsura and Dr Slump but somehow they discontinued and just hop over to other titles like Macross, Fist of the North Star and etc

I love Anime more than Manga as well grew up with them :dote:

EDIT: most of them were in Chinese and Cantonese VHS

1. Basically just Pokemon. I literally remember watching one of the Indigo Plateau episodes (the one with Bellsprout, I think) on TV with terrible reception. I did watch a bit of Gundam Wing and Gundam SEED too, but that was on VHS/DVD.
2. I prefer manga for some reason, but I'm not sure why.
3. I'm not sure whether anime-to-manga or manga-to-anime is better...I haven't watched or read enough to really know.

1. hmmmm, I'm grow up with DORAEMON and POKEMON and DIGIMON
*triple "mon" * hahahaha :XD:

2. I love manga more than anime, coz I think the story that goes in manga usually are much better than the story develop in anime... >__<

3. I don't know bout this one...hmmm...

1. Pokemon, Yugioh, Digimon, Dragon Ball Z etc. :ohoho:

2. More Anime person than manga...though manga's good too :sparkleguy:

3. It depends...usually mangas get more development in the plot and characters than anime maybe...but anime can have more action and be more exciting, especially combined with epic soundtrack and amazing voice-acting :shy:

i also remember

record of lodoss war
kikaider
Ghost in the Shell ( Movie )
YuYu Hakusho ( I Thought The Opening Was Cool & Catchy For a English Version )
I would Count Thundercats. ( if it's the Original )
Yugioh
( I play Pot Of Greed! You Know what This does Right? ~ Well Duh It's Explained So Many Times in this Series) :XD:

i Love alot of the Old Anime For it's Artwork.

1 - Digimon until Frontier. Also Yuu Yuu Hakusho, Saint Seiya and Sailor Moon.
2 - I prefer Anime because it has OST and other things that a Manga can't portray.

Hana no Ko Lunlun (not sure, but the original title is something like that), Wonderbeat Scramble and Transformers: Choujin Masterforce. They were about the only anime series broadcast on Russian channels in my childhood (and the odds of a Belarusian channel licensing one were no higher than nowadays). Then came Pokemon... And after a couple of episodes I stopped watching anime for several years, until my first university year. :XD:
I guess I'm more into anime, since I watch it more than I read manga. The fact that I mostly indulge into reading on the go, and comic panels are a bother to read on a small screen (ZOOM - DRAG AROUND - TURN PAGE - REPEAT) doesn't help either. Then again, Ranma 1/2 manga was the first thing to lure me back towards this world, and I love it thus far, while its adaptation didn't impress me that much.
Should an anime follow the manga closely? Depends on both. A good adaptation fixing the drawbacks of the original is ALWAYS better than bad adaptation throwing away worthy stuff from the manga its follows. With love, your Cap. :XD:

sailor moon!

I remember watching Sailor moon when i was 5-6 i think xD

I like how today's magical girl series are More Serious than Cute..

examples;
~Magical Girl lyrical Nanoha. (Watched all the series, hope they continue)
~puella magi madoka magica ( finished a while back )
may have been the Darkest Magical Girl Series EVER!
Was there a Season Two?

although anime is good no matter what
(unless it kills you with a bad ending) :blood:

i follow this rule when watching anime;
"You Start in dub, you finish it in dub" Same goes for Subbed anime.

01. 'Detective Conan', 'Sailor Moon', 'Cardcaptor Cherry(Sakura)', 'The Powerpuff Girls', 'Dragonball Z', 'Digimon', and lots of much more cr*ppy ones :ohoho:
It's funny that 'Detective Conan' is still on TV though many years have passed lol :ayashii:

02. Anime.
I don't like turning the pages of mangasThe only mangas I'm following are 'D.-GrayMan' and 'Pandora Hearts', but I have to read LOTS AND LOTS if I wanted catch up on them both :XD:
Also..somehow, the animes Yuki select to compose for fit my taste of anime very well! :dote:

hmmm animes:
now i'm watching these:
1.chihayafuru
2.aquarion evol
3.phi brain
4.persona 4
5.sket dance
6.beelzebub
7.another
8.inu x boku
9.ano natsu de matteru
10.amagami ss +

well i can't decide anime or manga: because sometimes the storyline in manga is sooooo different than the anime, but anime has osts and moving animation (of course it's better anime when it comes to fighting scenes)

I'm currently watching:
Nisemonogatari
Beelzebub
Inu x Boku SS
I started Another but I'm a bit behind on the episodes right now

Also occasionally rewatching some old animes now, but only when i have the time :desksweat:

1. Detective Conan, Doraemon, Digimon until tamers, I don't watch Pokemon because my grandparents prohibited me to watch them, Monster (Urasawa Naoki's masterpiece), Captain Tsubasa (one of the most ridiculous yet alluring sport anime, How they portray the 40 minutes in one football half just into 15 minutes but manage to pull the rest 5 minutes into 5 episodes LOL), YuGiOh, Rurouni Kenshin, hate Inuyasha and other Takahashi Rumiko's work, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Cardcaptor Sakura, Honey Bee Hutch, Clamp School Detective, Hunter x Hunter, rave, Kaleido Star :)

2. I'm more into manga. Dunno why, for me most anime adaptations from Manga don't get a certain "pull" that the Manga gives to me. But in some case, the anime version is really much better than the manga (Inuyasha for me. The anime adaptation was so clear and rich in illustration, but I got WTF when I read the manga, although I still can barely understand the storyline). Maybe because I grew up reading CLAMP's mangas that have a really awesome artwork but turn into crappy pieces in anime form. What exciting about the anime version were the color and the voice actors and the op. or ed. theme. I have lots of songs from anime that I don't even watch.

3. For me the anime adaptation from a manga or the reversal should stick to the original plot and shouldn't get more something added or get most of the plot being butched (like TRC). I don't like mangas who have a really long storyline and don't get ended after so many years, like Detective Conan, One Piece, Bleach, etc. Most of the author actually already designed the ending for the story and don't intended the story to be that long, but because the response was really good, they just expand the storyline and don't bother to make another series because they scared that their new series will not have as great response as their old one. That's why I love Hiro Mashima's works. Rave is awesome, and fairy tail although have somewhat same formula still captured my attention.

digimon was my first and then inuyasha, yu yu hakisho, yugioh(manga more of) and then there was fma, bleach, one piece, and the original naruto.
oh and bobobo-bo-bobo-bo. and now i have durarara. (these are really bad tounge twisters. . . :plot: )

I'll start with the earliest ones:

Sailor Moon,
Doraemon, (STILL running on television today, lol.)
Pokemon,
Watched about 4 episodes of Dragonball Z before I gave up.
Cardcaptor Sakura.
Some really cute ninja anime that I can't find the name until today (provided me with a few really good laughs)
Digimon Adventures, Tamers, Frontier.
Super Doll Licca-chan (re-ran N times on TV.)
Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny.

I'm much more anime than Manga. Can't stick reading mangas all the time...

Depends. For some I prefer anime because they have music and illustrations that are great, and for others the manga strikes me more.

EDIT:
Captain Tsubasa (one of the most ridiculous yet alluring sport anime, How they portray the 40 minutes in one football half just into 15 minutes but manage to pull the rest 5 minutes into 5 episodes LOL)

LOL! Thanks Ritardando, now I recall this anime! I love the way they portray the football games into something resembling life-and-death... I remember one time Taro managed to smash his head onto the post trying to protect the goal they had over the other team..and it wasn't even the finals yet... :hide:
