So. My question is: Have any of you had first hand or second hand experiences with the artists or celebrities you adore?? :sparkleguy:

You wrote to her in english and she responded?wow :shy:
I had friend Haruka Shimotsuki in FB and she liked my post in her wall,i don't know if that counts :P Akiko or Yuki never responded in twitter XD

A long time ago on Eri Itoh's old site before she worked with yuki, I posted in her guestbook about her panzer dragoon songs and she replied :shy:

edit: and i met yuki and kalafina in boston and we talked a little bit :shy:

Yes Luna that counts!~ The like button is a powerful way of awareness acknowledgement! :sparkleguy:

And Omg talked a little bit :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed: I'D KILL FOR JUST 6 SECONDS IN HER PRESENCE

^Me too!
&I didn't know you liked Yuriko :plot: Although you would be happier if it was Keiko's twitter account no? :XD:

Cool! And I went to Anime Boston too (which Kerahna already knew heh) but I didn't talk to them nearly as much during the autograph session, but I believe it was Hikaru who knew who I was dressed as, which was Lina Inverse from Slayers. Although I had to say first and then she remembered. :dote: I was so happy just to say thank you to them after receiving the autograph and after the wonderful concert.

Talked through twitter with Mami Kawada, MELL, Eiko Shimamiya, Maiko Iuchi (basically I've Sound members), Maon Kurosaki, Yuriko Kaida, Hitomi Momoi (ex-I've Sound, MOMO), Yuki Kajiura (during kajiwfs event only).

The greatest moment was when Miss Kanon Wakeshima responded to my question. I was squealing like a fan girl. It was a very exciting moment.

so far only talked with Maon Kurosaki , Mami Kawada, Yuki Kajiura(kajiwfs event) on twitter :shy: :shy:

Hmm...the "adore" part is tricky.

But I was involved in a performance and was partnered with a local celeb (in Singapore) for a martial arts display. Took some pictures with other artistes backstage as well. As much as I like working with them and appreciate their talents as artistes, I'm not crazyrabidfanboy-mad over them....:ayashii:

As for meeting the "adore" part, I did have a dinner conversation with my (then-)Prime Minister and some other influential people in my community some time ago. Not quite meeting the "celebrity" part then? :plot:

Wonder if these count....:glasses:

I have a confession to make :desksweat:

I too was at Anime Boston when Kalafina and Kajiura-sensei came...as a matter of fact, it was going to see them that made me interested in their music. But I only went on Sunday, so I missed the concert and the autograph sessions.

I did go to a Kara no Kyoukai/Kalafina panel on Sunday, though. I got to see Kajiura-sensei, Kalafina, and someone involved in the Kara no Kyoukai production. (Producer or director, I don't really remember.) Of course, I sat to the right, and the table was at the left of the stage, which meant that as soon as the gigantic line formed to the mike, I couldn't see anyone except for the Kara no Kyoukai person :uh..:

Anyway, after they'd answered questions the MC, who had a bit of a heavy accent, started asking trivia questions. The last question was going to be for a SIGNED poster handed out PERSONALLY by Kalafina. I got ready.

The question was, "Name the three members of Kalafina."

And by the time I'd figured out what the MC actually said, and decided that Maya shouldn't be named because she was no longer part of Kalafina, someone else had answered and I watched this person take the SIGNED poster from Kalafina's hands.

Of course, it didn't matter much back then...but now that their songs are almost all I listen to, I feel absolutely horrific every time I think about it :stupidtable:

I suppose that counts as a second-hand experience :orz:

And to make matters worse, I once found the blog of the person who got the poster, and he/she posted a picture... :comeback:

Have faith, my friend, and the day will come. :TdT: you'll have another chance, I'm sure.
My celebrity encounters... concerning Yuki, the only link is some poems I sent her as a gift. Hopefully they were not too troublesome for her (and more hopefully, she isn't angry with me for vandalizing Himeboshi :hide: ). That's enough for me so far. I, too. believe I will be able to see her and her utahimes in person someday.

I made an English version for that book back then, based on my impressions of the song. Which was written for a show I HAVE NEVER WATCHED :vortex: That's what makes me nervous :hide:
